CP AXTRA Joins Forces with NSTDA and SOS Thailand to Transform Surplus Food into Social Value Co-Creating a Cookbook to Share Chef-Created Recipes with Community Kitchens and Communities Nationwide
Bangkok, 3 September 2026 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, operator of the Makro and Lotus’s wholesale and retail businesses, represented by Mr. Adtasit Jiamchawee, Senior Manager-Corporate Affairs and Trade Relations, joined Dr. Worawarong Rakreungdet, Executive Vice President, and Dr. Pattamaporn Prachumrat, Senior Policy Researcher and Head of the Food Bank Project at the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), together with Mr. Tawee Impoolsup, Country Manager of Scholars of Sustenance Foundation Thailand (SOS Thailand), in advancing their shared mission to manage food surplus and maximize its value through the launch of the “คู่มือรวบรวมสูตรอาหารจากวัตถุดิบอาหารส่วนเกิน (Cookbook)” at the Bangkok Room, Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok.
The “คู่มือรวบรวมสูตรอาหารจากวัตถุดิบอาหารส่วนเกิน (Cookbook)” brings together recipes created by renowned chefs across Thailand using surplus food ingredients. The cookbook will be distributed to community kitchens, communities nationwide, and food rescue volunteer networks, providing practical guidance on how surplus ingredients can be effectively managed and transformed into nutritious meals based on chef-developed recipes.
As part of the initiative, “Chef Mee – Samerporn Sangwasee, from Chef's Club by makro” represented CP AXTRA in contributing two recipes “จับฉ่ายทรงเครื่อง” and “ถุงทองไส้ผักรวม” to support the development of the cookbook. The contribution reflects CP AXTRA’s commitment to the systematic management of food surplus and maximizing the value of food ingredients, helping transform available resources into meaningful social value.
