CP AXTRA Awards 13 AXTRA STAR SCHOLARSHIPS Across 3 Leading Institutions to Empower Talents in Food and Innovation Driving a Sustainable Quality Workforce

Bangkok, July 18, 2025 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, the operator of leading wholesale and retail brands Makro and Lotus’s, continues to reinforce its commitment to Thai society by creating educational opportunities and nurturing the potential of Thai youth to meet future workforce demands. As part of this commitment, CP AXTRA has granted 13 “AXTRA STAR SCHOLARSHIPS” for the year 2025 to undergraduate students majoring in food and technology-related fields from Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
These scholarships are aimed at students with outstanding academic performance, good conduct, limited financial means, and strong personal determination for self-development. The initiative serves as a driving force to build a learning society and supports the growth of high-potential youth towards a stable and sustainable future.

This year, the 13 scholarships have been awarded as follows:
- 2 students from the Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University
- 6 students from the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University
- 5 students from the Department of Food Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang
In addition to receiving the scholarships, the students also had the opportunity to visit Lotus’s Hypermarket Sukhaphiban 1 branch, where they gained first-hand experience and insights into the wholesale and retail business, which serves as a hub for food and ingredients sourced from around the world.
