CP AXTRA Launches “Sabaidee Thailand Shopping Destination” Campaign Positioning Makro and Lotus’s as Premier Shopping Destinations for Lao Visitors

Nong Khai, October 6, 2025 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, the operator of Makro and Lotus’s, is driving grassroots economic growth and supporting Thai tourism through the launch of the “Sabaidee Thailand Shopping Destination” campaign. In collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), The Udon Thani Tourism Business Association, Business Association of Nong Khai and Tourism Business Operator, the campaign invites travelers from the Lao PDR to shop at Makro and Lotus’s stores across five provinces: Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Bueng Kan, Mukdahan, and Nakhon Phanom.
The initiative aims to elevate Makro and Lotus’s into true tourist destinations that offer a complete experience in one stop – shopping, dining, and leisure – with a wide range of food, beverages, and household essentials.
Designed to stimulate both the economy and tourism in Thailand’s northeastern border provinces, the campaign leverages the region’s strengths in culture, traditions, natural abundance, and simple lifestyle, all of which continue to attract large numbers of visitors. Shoppers from the Lao PDR, who already have strong demand for high-quality Thai products, benefit from the ease of travel across the Thai–Lao Friendship Bridges that connect the five border provinces. This has led to a steady increase in both tourists and workers from Laos visiting Makro and Lotus’s, reinforcing their role as leading shopping hubs and contributors to sustainable community income.
