CP AXTRA Ranks 2nd in the World, Enters Top 5% in S&P Global CSA Assessment Scores rise for the 4th consecutive year, reflecting internationally recognized ESG performance

Bangkok — CP AXTRA Public Company Limited (The Company or CPAXT), the operator of Asia's leading wholesaler and retailer "Makro and Lotus's", has been ranked in the Top 5% globally, securing 2nd place in the Food & Staples Retailing industry in the 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by S&P Global, with a total score of 88 out of 100. This marks the 4th consecutive year of score improvement, reflecting the company's ongoing sustainability progress alongside business growth, and reinforcing its continued recognition on the international stage.
CP AXTRA continues to advance its business in line with sustainable development principles, driving Thailand's retail sector toward a Circular Economy through concrete environmental initiatives under the concept "AXTRA Zero Waste". This covers waste management, clean energy use, and greenhouse gas reduction across the entire value chain.
In 2025, the company diverted a total of 75,973 tons of waste from landfill — comprising 16,010 tons of food waste and 59,963 tons of recyclable waste — and collected over 2.5 million plastic bottles through Makro and Lotus's branches nationwide. These efforts helped reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 179,619 tons of CO₂ equivalent. The company also expanded its clean energy use by installing Solar Rooftop panels at over 1,384 distribution centers and Makro–Lotus's branches, and deployed more than 300 clean energy vehicles for goods transportation to reduce environmental impact across the value chain.
CP AXTRA remains committed to achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2030 and Net Zero emissions by 2050. The year-on-year improvement in S&P Global CSA scores reflects the company's tangible sustainability efforts, reinforcing CP AXTRA's leadership in elevating Thailand's wholesale-retail industry to global standards while creating lasting value for all stakeholders.
