CP AXTRA’s Makro–Lotus’s Drives an Active Seniors Community Launches “60 ยังแจ๋ว คลับ” as a Happiness Space for Seniors

Bangkok, 25 May 2026 – As Thailand transitions into a “complete aged society,” with more than 14.2 million senior citizens accounting for over 22% of the country’s population, CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, operator of wholesale and retail businesses “Makro–Lotus’s,” continues to elevate the role of retail spaces into “Spaces of Happiness” for people of all ages. Most recently, the company launched the “60 ยังแจ๋ว คลับ,” a community for active seniors under the concept of “Quality Aging,” aimed at enhancing seniors’ quality of life across social, economic, and health dimensions, while contributing to the sustainable development of Thailand’s quality aging society.
Miss Benchawan Ongsri, Chief Mall Officer, Mall & Property Group, CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, said, “The ‘60 ยังแจ๋ว คลับ’ is an extension of the ‘60 ยังแจ๋ว คลับ,’ which Makro–Lotus’s has been implementing in collaboration with the Department of Older Persons for more than three years. Currently, the company has employed over 272 senior employees across branches nationwide. However, we believe that improving seniors’ quality of life goes beyond employment opportunities. It is equally important to create spaces for participation that nurture physical well-being, mental wellness, and social connections. This vision led to the creation of the ‘60 ยังแจ๋ว คลับ,’ a community for active seniors centered around three core activity pillars: ‘Fit, Food, and Fun,’ encouraging seniors to live each day with happiness, purpose, and meaning.”
Recently, CP AXTRA organized the “60 ยังแจ๋ว คลับ” event at Lotus’s Bangna, creating a lively and heartwarming atmosphere. The event reflected the concept of a “Space of Happiness” through a variety of engaging activities, including the “Senior Happiness Market,” which provided opportunities for seniors to showcase and sell products from elderly community enterprise groups, such as Ban Had Siao weaving and tailoring products, Ratchawadee enamelware, cold-pressed coconut oil, mashed potatoes and roasted pork products, and Je Ko Ba Chang from Talat Phlu. The market attracted continuous interest from attendees.
The event also featured free basic health check-ups, including blood sugar, blood pressure, and vision screenings, along with personalized health consultations. Other highlights included a healthy cooking workshop featuring “Grilled Tofu Salad” by Chef Palm from Chef’s Club by Makro, as well as music and recreational activities that encouraged seniors to socialize, spend quality time together, and strengthen community bonds in a warm and joyful environment for people of all ages.
Another key highlight was the inspirational sharing session “Still Cool at 60” by renowned Thai celebrity Nino Maethanee Buranasiri, who inspired participants to live confidently and energetically at every stage of life. He shared his perspective that, “Age is just a number. What truly matters is that we still have value, energy, and the ability to live happily every single day,” receiving a warm response from the audience.
The “60 ยังแจ๋ว คลับ” reflects CP AXTRA’s commitment to transforming retail spaces into true “Spaces of Happiness” that empower seniors to express their potential, foster community connections, and grow sustainably alongside Thai society.
