CP AXTRA Collaborates with Key Partners to Expand “กินได้ไม่ทิ้งกัน” Connecting Food Donors and Recipients Through a Digital Platform, Targeting More Than 5 million Meals Nationwide

Bangkok, 25 June 2026 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, the operator of Makro and Lotus’s, continues its commitment to social inclusion and food security by joining forces with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS Thailand), and local authorities to expand the “กินได้ไม่ทิ้งกัน” initiative under the Thailand Food Bank program.
The initiative demonstrates how quality food resources, when supported by effective management systems, appropriate technology, and strong multi-sector collaboration, can be transformed into nutritious meals for communities while strengthening food security across the country.
As part of the program, a pilot activity was launched at Wat Chan Pradittharam Community in Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok, where meat, eggs, fresh vegetables, and rice were provided to community volunteer kitchens. Volunteers prepared and distributed freshly cooked meals to more than 150 households, helping ease living expenses while improving access to safe, nutritious, and quality food.
CP AXTRA plans to expand the program to communities across all districts of Bangkok and subsequently to regions nationwide, creating a sustainable food-sharing network in collaboration with local communities. In 2026, the initiative aims to deliver more than 5 million meals, generating an estimated THB 250 million in social and economic value.
The program also integrates digital technology and data management systems to enable community leaders to monitor available food resources in real time through a dedicated LINE OA platform, allowing for more efficient collection and distribution planning while reducing waste and duplication.
To further enhance food safety, the initiative incorporates innovations developed by NSTDA, including easy-to-use food quality testing kits that enable both donors and recipients to verify that food remains safe and suitable for consumption. Meanwhile, SOS Thailand plays a vital role in coordinating logistics, collection routes, and food distribution, helping maintain food quality and safety throughout the delivery process.
Mrs. Siriporn Dechsingha, Chief Corporate Sustainability and Communication Officer of CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, said: "At CP AXTRA, we place great importance on strengthening food security while supporting communities and society in a sustainable manner. We believe access to quality food is a fundamental necessity for everyone.
Over the years, we have continuously redistributed quality food ingredients that remain safe for consumption but are removed from shelves due to inventory management requirements at Makro and Lotus’s stores. Through the ‘กินได้ไม่ทิ้งกัน’ initiative, these food resources are redirected to support vulnerable communities while helping reduce household living expenses.
The ‘กินได้ไม่ทิ้งกัน’ initiative represents another important collaboration that extends quality food support to communities. By empowering community volunteers to prepare and distribute freshly cooked meals, the program creates meaningful participation and promotes sustainability at the grassroots level.”
The “กินได้ไม่ทิ้งกัน” initiative is part of CP AXTRA’s broader “ลดทิ้ง สร้างค่า” approach, which focuses on maximizing the value of food resources from Makro and Lotus’s stores nationwide and transforming surplus food into meaningful social value.
CP AXTRA continues to expand collaboration with government agencies, private-sector partners, and local communities to build a culture of sharing and improve quality of life for people across Thailand through sustainable business practices. The company remains committed to achieving its Zero Waste to Landfill target by 2030, while driving long-term positive impacts for society, communities, and the environment.
