Bangkok, October 14, 2026 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, operator of Makro and Lotus’s, is reassuring the public that essential consumer goods remain sufficiently available and accessible throughout the flood situation. Leveraging its nationwide distribution center network and integrated transportation system, the company continues to manage inventory in line with demand in each area while implementing measures to support employees affected by flooding.

Mr. Apiruk Dechaworasit, Senior Director-Retail Supply Chain, CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, together with the management team and employees at the Bang Bua Thong Distribution Center, welcomed Mr. Chanthaphat Panchamanon, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, and his delegation during their visit to observe the company’s warehouse management and operations at the Bang Bua Thong Distribution Center.

Product Management and Distribution Measures to Address Flooding

  • Nationwide distribution network capacity - CP AXTRA operates a nationwide network of distribution centers serving Makro and Lotus’s, with a combined area of more than 460,000 square meters. The network can distribute over 30 million items per day through approximately 12,500 transport vehicles, supporting both deliveries to stores and home delivery to customers.
  • Proactive inventory management in at risk areas - The company analyzes weather conditions, water levels, sales data and inventory levels to assess flood risks and identify vulnerable areas. Essential goods are strategically stocked at distribution centers to ensure sufficient supplies, while inventory of essential products at stores in at-risk areas is increased by 30% ahead of potential flooding. Priority items include dry food, ready-to-eat meals, drinking water and other flood-related necessities, as well as cleaning products needed for post-flood recovery.
  • Adjusting transportation plans to maintain continuous distribution - Throughout the flooding situation, the company closely monitors conditions, increases delivery volumes, coordinates with manufacturers and business partners to deliver products directly to stores, and adjusts delivery routes and vehicle schedules as necessary. If distribution centers or transportation routes are affected, CP AXTRA connects its Makro–Lotus’s distribution center and store networks to help maintain the continuous flow of essential goods to affected areas.
  • Protecting and supporting employees affected by flooding - In addition to ensuring product availability, the company prioritizes the safety and well-being of its employees. Measures include monitoring the situation, communicating emergency information, preparing protective equipment and temporary accommodation, and providing relief bags and essential supplies. Financial assistance is also available according to the extent of damage, alongside welfare support for affected employees.

These efforts reflect CP AXTRA’s commitment to building a resilient supply chain that maintains the continuity of essential consumer goods distribution while providing appropriate care and assistance to employees affected by flooding.
