Bangkok, September 18, 2025 – CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, the operator of wholesale and retail businesses Makro and Lotus’s, reinforced its commitment to sustainability by presenting groundbreaking green innovations through the "AXTRA Zero Waste: Less Waste, More Value" project at the “CP Innovation Exposition & Symposium 2025” under the concept "Zero Waste, Countless Benefits From Waste to Wealth.” The initiative demonstrates how waste can be transformed into opportunities, generating new value from surplus resources and driving a tangible shift toward a circular economy.

This innovation offers an end-to-end solution from surplus food redistribution to supporting farmers. Surplus food from our retail operations is used to feed Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae and crickets, which in turn helps farmers reduce costs and create sustainable income. Meanwhile, BSF by-products are transformed into high-quality organic fertilizer used to grow vegetables such as kale, which are then developed into ‘Kale Orb’ products, adding clear economic value. This innovation proves that waste can truly be turned into benefits while aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 and advancing Thailand’s circular economy.”
