CP AXTRA Turns Recycled Plastic into Reflective Vests Supporting Bangkok’s Big Cleaning Efforts After the Floods

Bangkok, October 5, 2026 – As the flood situation in several areas begins to ease, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is accelerating efforts to restore affected areas and bring communities back to a clean and livable condition. CP AXTRA Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the BMA, has mobilized employee volunteers to join major Big Cleaning efforts in affected areas, including the Santicam Village Community on Soi Lat Phrao 43 and Khlong Chan Flats.
CP AXTRA also provided food and drinking water to support officials and workers on the ground, reflecting the company’s commitment to standing alongside communities and contributing to the city’s recovery at a time when collective efforts from all sectors are essential.
As another expression of care for frontline workers, CP AXTRA also delivered “Pi Kwaad” recycled reflective vests for sanitation workers to improve visibility and safety while working on public roads. The vests reflect the principles of the Circular Economy, transforming used plastic bottles into new value through a recycling process that turns waste into useful products and gives discarded materials a new purpose ultimately helping care for the people who work to keep the city clean.
During the Big Cleaning effort, CP AXTRA worked alongside officials from Huai Khwang District Office and students from Pathumwan Institute of Technology to collect flood-related waste and bulky waste in the Santicam Village Community on Soi Lat Phrao 43, covering more than 100 households. More than four dump trucks of waste were removed from the area.
The team also carried out cleaning and restoration work at Khlong Chan Flats, helping return the area to a clean and safe condition for residents to resume their daily lives. Employee volunteers from Makro–Lotus’s, under CP AXTRA, worked alongside government officials on the ground, demonstrating collaboration among the public sector, private sector and employees in restoring communities following the floods.
The Big Cleaning effort is part of CP AXTRA’s ongoing support for communities as Bangkok accelerates recovery following the floods. The company remains committed to leveraging its capabilities including its network, employees and available resources—to support government-led recovery efforts and continuously deliver assistance to affected areas.
