CP AXTRA teams up with Bangkok Food Bank, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) and SOS to deliver millions of meals for the vulnerable

Bangkok, September 8, 2025 – CP AXTRA Plc, operator of Makro and Lotus’s, has launched a new initiative with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), and the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS Thailand) to provide meals for vulnerable communities across the capital.
The campaign, titled “กินได้ไม่ทิ้งกัน”, aims to redistribute surplus food and quality ingredients that remain safe for consumption to low-income families, the elderly, and other at Disadvantaged groups in all 50 districts of Bangkok. The program seeks to ease household food expenses while promoting food security and equal access to nutritious meals.
Siriporn Dechsingha, Chief Corporate Sustainability and Communication Officer of CP AXTRA, said the partnership highlights the company’s broader commitment to social well-being: “This project is not only about reducing food waste but also about improving quality of life for vulnerable groups. By working with BKK Food Bank as a distribution hub, we can ensure food reaches communities effectively, helping households reduce costs while supporting sustainable livelihoods.”
Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt described the program as an extension of the BKK Food Bank’s mission to support those in need: “The BKK Food Bank operates across all 50 districts and provides transparency through its digital platform. This collaboration turns surplus into opportunity, linking what is left over to those who need it most. It creates a sustainable cycle of sharing and strengthens our vision of a city that leaves no one behind.”
Through “Eat, Don’t Waste,” CP AXTRA and its partners aim to deliver millions of meals by the end of the year. The project not only alleviates immediate food insecurity but also demonstrates how government, business, and civil society can work hand in hand to build stronger, more resilient communities.
